Dear Clients,
The health and safety of our customers, staff, and business partners is a top priority for all of us here at the Law Offices of Jason M. Alarid and I want you to know that we are monitoring the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely.
We are open for business and will remain available to serve you regardless of how the situation progresses. We have technology and systems in place that can help us provide you with the first-class service you are used to and keep you and our staff safe and healthy at the same time.
At this time due to the CDC’s social distancing requirements and the NM State Governor announcing the close of businesses to mitigate further spread of COVID-19 we will be limiting all person-to-person contact and therefore our office doors will be closed to the public until further notice. We will continue to take care of anything you need over the phone, via e-mail (info@jasonalarid.com) or www.mycase.com. If you need to make a cash payment in person, please call the office to let us know that you would like to make a cash payment, we will instruct you to leave it in the exterior secure mailbox here at the office. All other payments can be made as usual over the phone or directly through our MyCase portal at www.mycase.com. With these tools we hope there will be no disruption to our clients.
If you a current client, please consider using the MyCase portal for questions or to review your case. If you have any issues with MyCase or need a new link to access, please contact us by phone at 505-247-9500. Mycase also has an app for your phone, available in your phone’s app store, should you wish to install the app. Lastly, if you need a meeting with Jason, we can accommodate you via the phone or via video-conferencing (details to come) please call and set an appointment.
Many of you have questions about pending trials and hearings. Again, feel free to contact us by phone or Mycase message. Generally, if you have a jury trial only scheduled between today and April 30, 2020 it has been vacated by New Mexico Supreme Court order and will be rescheduled by the Court. We will notify you of the new date in coming weeks. If you have a bench trial pending it has NOT been vacated by the Court and will occur as scheduled unless moved by the State or requested by our office. If you have a pre-trial conference you will be waived and will not need to appear. If you have a district court matter, including scheduling conferences or a docket call, these hearings are still occurring as scheduled though we may be able to have you appear by phone. Lastly, if you have a motion hearing, unfortunately at this time you will need to appear in Court. If you become ill or have another issue, we may be able to continue your case so please contact us as soon as possible so arrangements may be made.
Throughout this situation, we will be following the recommendations of the CDC and government and Supreme Court of New Mexico. I would also encourage you to review the latest recommendations from the CDC and take action to protect your family. You can access the CDC website with this link: https: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/ .
Thank you for your business and your trust in us in handling your case. If you have a question please call us at 505-247-9500, email us at info@jasonalarid.com , or send us a MyCase message and we will respond as quickly as we can.
Sincerely,
Jason and Staff
