Statement from JMA Law Regarding Novel Coronavirus (CoVid-19)

To all of our clients and potential clients:
We are sure you have received many statements and e-mails regarding the Novel Coronavirus (CoVid-19). For the majority of our clients, their criminal cases are continuing in all Metropolitan, Magistrate, and District Courts. All criminal settings previously set where you have a notice will be held. Should the Court change your setting or it is otherwise continued we will reach out to inform you of this information. Jason and his staff are looking over all current settings and will be continuing those where time limits are not a factor or where travel is cumbersome. To our clients whose appearance has been waived, that will not change. The Courts have advised us to utilize the telephone and technology where appropriate and in certain cases we will motion the Court to allow telephonic appearances. We will do our best to reach out to clients, individually, as we move into next week. Our office is open and staffed, and barring a major change, we intend to keep it that way. You may reach us by phone, 505-247-9500, e-mail at info@jasonalarid.com, or by MyCase. If you have not received a MyCase invite, please let us know, and we will send you another invitation. Further, Jason will be available by phone or Skype for client meetings should you prefer that method. All potential clients are welcome to meet in person or by Skype (or similar videoconferencing). Finally, should you become ill let us know immediately so we can work to move your setting. We are working to minimize the stress of this situation as it relates to your case or potential case. We are here to help with legal matters, as we always have been, and will continue to do so. Sincerely, Jason and Staff.
